  • Grand Theft Auto 6 Price: What You Can Expect

    Vlad

After over a decade of waiting, Rockstar Games finally announced that GTA 6 is in the works. The company unveiled a trailer that gave us a look at what we can expect from the game.

From the playable characters to some locations, the trailer was chock-full of juicy details. This left the GTA fandom in a frenzy.

Plus, with the news of GTA 6’s upcoming release, fans all over the globe have started wondering how much the game will cost. If that sounds like you, we can help!

In this article, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know about the Grand Theft Auto 6 price tag.

    GTA 6 Rumored Price

Fans have waited over 10 years for news about GTA 6. So, it’s no surprise that people have started speculating about the price tag of the highly anticipated game.

So here’s a quick look at the information circulating online.

There are a few rumors floating around suggesting the latest version of Grand Theft Auto will cost around $150 or more. This came as a major blow to many fans.

With the rising cost of games and consoles, many people were inclined to believe this figure. However, there’s more to the story!

As we all know, we can’t take any information online at face value. That’s especially true when we’re talking about one of the most highly anticipated games in recent history.

Niche Gamer originally shared the rumor in a single line on their X account. Although, we didn’t get any further explanation, and there was no source cited.

From that, we can assume that the rumors are no more than hearsay.

Source of GTA VI Price Rumors

The rumors about the GTA price tag began circulating after Strauss Zelnick—Take-Two's CEO—sat down for an interview with Forbes in early November 2023.

During the meeting, Zelnick spoke about the potential value of the GTA franchise. However, his comments were taken out of context and twisted into a misguided narrative.

Some fans speculated that Strauss was referring to a switch-up in the pricing model of GTA. They even went as far as assuming the game would adopt a per-hour rate or be priced much higher than other similar games.

This prompted the Take-Two CEO to release another statement. He went on to clarify that GTA 6 will include hundreds of hours of content packed within the cost of a video game.

So his earlier comments merely allude to the fact that GTA 6 has a high earning potential, not that the game would be more expensive than average.

    Average Price Predictions

Based on the pricing trend of previous AAA games, we can expect GTA 6 to cost around $69.99 for the standard release. This prediction should hold unless Rockstar Games changes its current pricing model.

Plus, if we examine the GTA 5 releases, we can gather more details about the upcoming GTA 6 launch.

For instance, GTA 5 came out with a total of three versions:

    ●      Grand Theft Auto 5

    ●      GTA 5 Special Edition

    ●      GTA 5 Collector's Edition

Each one of these came with a unique price tag with the most expensive being the Collectors version at $149.99.

So, while the standard version of GTA 6 likely won’t cost $150, we can’t rule out that a special version of the game won’t be that expensive.

    Wrapping Up

Rockstar Games announced that the sixth installment of Grand Theft Auto will hit the markets sometime in 2025. It didn’t take long for fans to start speculating about the GTA 6 price tag.

While some rumors state that the game will cost around $150, we can assume this is hearsay. The most likely scenario is that Grand Theft Auto 6 will cost about $69.99 based on previous AAA game releases.

    • Hello gamers! While waiting for new details on GTA6, I am happy to announce that today, we released a new project that means a lot to us (and hopefully to you). MapMaster.io is focused on providing top-notch interactive games for the latest video games. This project took over five months to develop by an awesome team from Ukraine (yes, during the war), but despite the minor bugs that still exist and are being fixed, the finished product is amazing. While there are other websites that currently provide interactive maps, MapMaster is a bit different, as I am sure you'll notice. First of all, we have a clean interface without all the bling bling that can distract users. Second (and this is far more important), our team has tested all locations on our growing library of video games. In other words, you won't find outdated information, wrongfully placed markers (unless we made honest mistakes), or markers without clearly explaining what you should do when you get to those locations on the map. Furthermore, most locations come with clear screenshots from the games you are tracking. Obviously, you can track your progress, add notes, reset your progress on a game, and much, much more. Last but not least, we don't charge users for tracking locations. Simply put, if you register on our website, you can mark all locations for free. Registration is required to track your progress. Now, without further ado, here is the list of game maps we currently completed, our current projects, and what the future holds. I'll keep this thread updated and looking forward to your suggestions: Completed Game Maps: Red Dead Redemption 1 Dying Light Tunic Kena: Bridge of Spirits Ghost of Tsushima Sonic Frontiers PoP: The Lost Crown Tales of Kenzera: Zau Rise of the Ronin Interactive Game Maps Under Development: Elden Ring Assassin's Creed Valhalla (Ireland is completed) Grand Theft Auto 5 Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Dragon's Dogma 2 Future Maps: Black Myth: Wu Kong Star Wars Outlaws Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Assassin’s Creed Shadows Dragon Age 4: The Veilguard God of War: Ragnarok So, what do you guys think? Let me know your thoughts. Your feedback is greatly appreciated.
    • @brandon wow! I never thought of that! Playing as a prostitute. But how about Jason? 😏
    • I would really like to become a prostitute in GTA 6 I think that's what everyone wants to play as a prostitute I know there's going to be a female character but if your able to be able to be a prostitute then I think that would be a good idea or there could be random encounters if you were to be a prostitute like one of the people that you work with as a prostitute could be a serial killer or another one be a cop or another one be a military or another one be a billionaire or a kidnaper you get the point
