Vlad Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Let's discuss this scene and what happened to the alligator. Do you think it got away? Also, the follow button for OfficialPOACH is interesting. Do you think it will be possible to follow characters on social media in GTA6? Quote
Sergiu Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Vice City is heavily inspired by Miami, Florida in the real world, which is home to a bunch of alligators. They can be found in all sorts of freshwater spots like swamps, lakes, and rivers throughout the state. Sometimes, they even wander into residential areas, leading to unexpected encounters with humans. Honestly, this scene is intended to establish the setting where all the action in the game is about to take place. There's also another scene featuring CCTV footage of a crocodile entering a store, which references an incident at a Walmart in Florida. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8paFHvpaoiM As for the follow button, the trailer showcases various social media accounts like PlanetLeonidaMan, GeneralCustardCannon, and YoMammazJammer. It seems very likely that they will introduce a social media platform similar to GTA 5's LifeInvader (a copy of Facebook) and Bleets (a copy of Tweeter/X). However, it remains uncertain how interactive and useful it will be for the story mode. For the online version, though, it might be interesting to follow other people, create groups/communities, and share in-game photos. Quote

Another Florida incident, believe it or not. Check out the news report: We might encounter them randomly as we explore these pools around Vice City. That's my guess. 🤔 Quote
Vlad Posted February 16 Author Posted February 16 Yeah, I get it. But what happened to the alligator? 🤣 EDIT: OK, until we figure out what happened to that poor animal, there is a recent leak (check this thread) coming from a PS Dev. He posted on X that the game's events would be broadcast on the news and social media. Missions too. So this explains the OfficialPOACH channel. Quote
